At the moment I´m uploading a lot of videos to my Vimeo account. Short films, music videos, 16 mm film, assignments etc. Most of them can be viewed by anybody, some of them are private (mostly work I made in assignment).

Vimeo is a website with a slick design that connects people through video. At the moment there are two big differences with YouTube: at Vimeo all the videos you see are made by the people who have uploaded them. And at Vimeo it is possible to upload videos of ten minutes or more. YouTube only accepts videos that are ten minutes max. 

One of the videos I´ve uploaded is 7 FORTRESSES (16:9, 13.11 min. 2005).

This video was commissioned by BAI (Architecture Institute). It consists of seven pieces: seven fortresses. The shape of the fortress is based on the 16th century map of the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, drawn by Jacob van Deventer. The video shows the vulnerability of the concept fortress. In the magnificence of life the fortress is merely an error of thought.
The video was shot in Spain. This is a slow art video, so take your time watching it ;-)
