Costaleros carry the pasos in the processions of the brotherhoods. Up to 50 costaleros carry 1 sculpture in the procession through Seville, which can take up to 4 or 5 hours. The costaleros change several times. They carry 70 to 100 kg each, the sculptures weigh 1000 kg or much more.
